More about Cymyran Hotel

Cymyran Hotel opened its doors to its first customers in April 2008, two years after Duncan & Prydwen Maclean decided to put their plans into action.

Duncan, originally from the Isle of Mull and a builder by trade, has lived on Anglesey with his wife Prydwen, who is from the area, since 1970.  Duncan has always had a great interest in food and cooking and for many years they had both felt that the West Coast of Anglesey would benefit greatly from a wider variety of restaurants. It wasnt until 2006 that their dreams started to become a reality.

Duncan and Prydwen soon realised that this was their opportunity to create a modern, purpose-built hotel and restaurant that would provide a service to the Island and its visitors.

In 2001, Duncan and Prydwen built a stable yard for their daughter on some land near their home in Llanfair yn Neubwll.  Duncan & Prydwen originally planned to build a basic accommodation block adjacent to the stable, for visiting riders to compete in the various horseshows that the centre hosts throughout the year. However, they soon realised that this was their opportunity to create a modern, purpose-built hotel and restaurant that would provide a service to the Island and its visitors.

In 2003, the plans were further developed and eventually in 2006 building of the Cymyran Hotel began.
